I loved this so much! The expressions and art style was so good and made me grin. The horror slowly unfolding as you explore and the sudden changes at time were amazing. Great job!
I'd like to start by saying i really enjoyed playing the game! It was short and fun and the story was enough to drag me in. I really enjoy the game and the characterization was realistic enough to not take me out of the experience. I would like to say though, that there were a few things that bugged me a bit. Adrian is described as manipulative, but I didn't really see that in the game. Yes, there was an off hand comment that he 'manipulated those people', but its never really shown that its his nature. He seems like hes a bit scary on the surface but he has good intentions. Even to the end, he seems logical about Jules' opinion on him. It's also a bit unclear of why Jules stopped writing to him in the first place, which I think could have set up Adrian's manipulative nature. Last thing I have to say for it really is that it did leave me curious about what was in Adrian's room. It's mentioned at the beginning of the story and it seems like it's the main mystery since you have no clue what he could be hiding, but its never brought up again and it seems like it never needed to be in the first place. Of course, this game is old, and honestly I really really liked it despite all of these very minor issues I had with it. If possible, I think it'd be really awesome if you'd be willing to rework the game because Adrian my goat and I think some more screentime and writing could go a long way and more content of him would make my year thanks guys this is awesome
I'm really glad you enjoyed the game and that you picked up on the hidden clues I placed throughout. You're absolutely right—there is something going on with Adrian's room, and there is a reason why Jules distanced himself from Adrian. These elements were hinted at but not fully explored in this version of the game.
It was for a game jam, but I've actually planned to develop a full version of the game, and I’m aiming to release it later this year. The current game is just one perspective on the story (even though it has multiple endings), so there’s definitely more to uncover about the characters and their history.
The is no 'load' button in this game. Might wanna fix that.
Is "Murder under the moonlight" a fictional book? Cuz it sounded interesting, but I can't find it on Amazon.
Not my favorite of your games. The story is good, but I prefer the visual novel style. (And I'm not a fan of puzzle games. lol)
I like Adrian tho. ^_^
...
Okay, I've reached the end, and the ONE thing I can't figure out is this:
Why did you stop seeing him? oO
He never did anything remotely bad to you. (Unless you count the maybe-he-did-or-maybe-didn't save you from what sounded like a shitty so-called father. But that's a good thing.)
There actually isn’t a “Load” button on purpose. Your progress is saved automatically. After you complete the introduction, you arrive in Adrian’s house, and from that point, you can reach all the endings, including the true ending. The game is designed like a loop, reflecting what the main character, Jules, is experiencing: a cycle of memories. Once the truth hits at the end, the loop starts over, just like it does for him.
As for "Murder under the Moonlight", yes, it’s a fictional book created just for the game. You will know more if you want to play the full version I’m working on.
This was super intriguing! I admit I don't fully understand what happened but I would love to see another story about these two or Mr Adrian's creepy house!
Wonderful game! I love the overall vibe of the game, I wish it could have been just a little bit longer😢. can I try to translate this game into Chinese and share it on the Chinese website? My English is not very good, but I really want to share this game....🥺 thanks for making such a great game 🥺
Thank you so much! I’m really happy you loved the game and appreciate the vibe. It’s awesome that you want to translate it into Chinese! Yes, you can definitely do that ! There is no problems. Thanks again !
Thank you for your permission!I finished the translation! and put the video on the bilibili site(《Mr. Adrian’s mansion is creepy》汉化+实况) and put the url of the game on itch in the video synopsis.
because of my limited English, I probably didn't translate it very well.😢 and because I'm not a famous uploader, the publicity is actually very limited. Sorry about that.😭
You're welcome! The game's aesthetic goes really well with Chinese writing. I never would have imagined seeing my game in another language. Thank you so much for your hard work on the translation and for sharing it on Bilibili! Every bit of publicity counts, and your support is truly appreciated.
Thanks again for bringing "Mr. Adrian's mansion is creepy" to a wider audience ! Hope you’ll enjoy any future projects I work on!
Loved it! It was short, sweet, and straightforward. The multiple small "puzzle" rooms, VHS filter, and numerous ways to die reminds me of Elevator Hitch.
I greatly enjoyed uncovering their past together through opening the doors and finding items (some of the scenes, such as the Detective one, were delightfully weird!)
And that final ending (which I managed to get out of order, by accident) was fascinating. I'm somewhat rooting for their friendship/relationship. In spite of how toxic Adrian seems, I appreciate his affection for Jules. I assume he is a yandere? (I know the game has that tag, but he is a very subtle yandere in a lot of ways)
The art was cool, too. I really liked the use of those silhouettes with the enormous eyes. They just added to how unsettling the whole game was. And Adrian's design was somehow both rather normal looking, and also very intimidating! Especially next to Jules, who looked very unassuming and quiet.
Thanks to your comment, I realized that I forgot to save the page when I added the patched version of the game. Everything should be okay now ! There are Mac, Linux, and Windows versions.
really good game! i enjoyed the delivery of going through each of the doors and using the items in different rooms. it was pretty trippy, but I still liked it, and I got all the endings! I loved the tragedy of the two characters and their story.

This was a fun, and rather surreal experience.
[Vague spoilers]

You did a great job with this game! 💜
OMG, the final ending is too brief! QAQ
I swear the entire game plot is already good for a lengthy horror romance tragic BL novel! Oh, the angst!
I like the old VHS filter used in the game.
I can't download it ;-;
Thanks to your comment, I realized that I forgot to save the page when I added the patched version of the game. Everything should be okay now ! There are Mac, Linux, and Windows versions.
